1. Drain Water
From Filter Tank |
2. Using a very
sharp knife (x-acto), reach inside tank and cut off tip of valve that
protrudes from the bottom. |

3. Take new drain
valve and install o-ring as shown. Lubricate with a non-petroleum jelly
lube. |
4. Use special
tool or "dowel" and place inside drain valve as shown. |

5. Place drain valve and
"O" ring assembly with special tool inserted into valve recess
hole on bottom of tank. |
5a WARNING-
Make sure valve handle is not behind the stop pegs of the valve recess
hole. Keep valve handle to the outside of the stops. |

6 Using a hammer,
hit the end of the special tool or dowel. The flanged tip should snap
into place. It may take 2 or 3 hits. |
7 Rotate valve to
insure freedom of operation and that it hits the stops provided. Put cap
and gasket on and por enough water into into filter to cover drain.
Rotate drain valve and check for leaks. |
