Doughboy Silica II Tank Cover Orientation

NOTICE: The same valve, tank body and lid are used for both DE and Sand filters. However, the alignment of these items are different.  If the alignment is not correct it will cause the water to flow the wrong direction.  Align using the instructions below.

Orientation of the Sand tank cover can be determined by three methods: 1.  Positioning the "C" shaped opening will be positioned as in the above sketch and orientated in relation to the front of the tank area with filter model number label. The valve cover must be removed in order to observe the opening. or; 2. Position the correct wording (SAND or DE/C) toward the front of the tank. The valve cover must be removed to observe the lettering or; 3. Orient letter "E" or "S" (located on edge of tank lid) to rear of tank opposite model number label as shown.	Orientation of the DE tank cover can be determined by three methods: 1.  Positioning the "C" shaped opening will be positioned as in the above sketch and orientated in relation to the front of the tank (area with filter model number label). The valve cover must be removed in order to observe the opening or; 2. Position the correct wording (SAND or DE/C) toward the front of the tank. The valve cover must be removed to observe the lettering or; 3. Orient letter "E" or "S" (located on edge of tank lid) to rear of tank opposite model number label as shown.
